Press facts
Buy The World is a shared interactive globe. People can look around for free, then claim a digital map square and put a photo, caption or link on a place that means something to them.
The short version
Buy The World turns personal places into a public map. A person can choose a square near a hometown, a meeting place or a trip, add what they want to show there, and send a public link to that point on the globe.
Facts
- Exploring the map is free and does not require an account.
- One digital square costs $2.00 USD ; there is no subscription.
- A square is a licence to display content on a digital map, not ownership of physical land.
- Each purchase adds 3.65 days to the map's public countdown. The claim itself is not reassigned if that countdown ends.
- The project is operated by Spaghetti Code, CVR 39003252.
